Scene: Morning Routine at Home
Characters:
- Dad (Carl): A responsible father.
- Eden: A young student.
(In the morning, Carl is standing outside Eden’s bedroom door, knocking gently.)
Carl: (loudly but in a gentle tone) Eden, wake up, son! You’ll be late for school if you don’t get up now.
Eden: (muttering sleepily) Ugh, Dad. I’m so tired. I had a really cool dream last night.
Carl: I’m sure it was great, but you can tell me about it later. Right now, you need to get dressed, wash your face, and brush your teeth. Then come down for breakfast.
Eden: (sighs, getting out of bed) Okay, Dad. But I don’t know what to wear today.
Carl: Just put on the clothes we prepared last night. Hurry up.
Eden: (while getting dressed) Dad, do I have to wash my face with cold water? It’s so cold in the morning.
Carl: Yes, it’ll wake you up. And it’s good for your skin. After that, brush your teeth properly. We don’t want any cavities—remember how you had to go to the dentist last year to fix those three? That wasn’t fun, was it?.
Eden: (going to the bathroom) All right. But can I have some warm water to rinse?
Carl: Sure, just be quick.
(After a while, Eden comes downstairs dressed, with his face washed and teeth brushed.)
Carl: Good boy. Now, sit down and have your breakfast quickly. We don’t have much time.
Eden: (sitting at the table, starting to eat) Dad, what’s for breakfast today? I hope it’s something yummy.
Carl: It’s your favorite, cereal with milk. Eat up.
Eden: (taking a bite) Mmm, this is good. Dad, can I take a box of juice to school?
Carl: Of course. But finish your cereal first. We need to get going soon.
Eden: Dad, I’m a bit worried about the math test today.
Carl: Don’t worry, son. You’ve been studying hard. You’ll do great. Just read the questions carefully.
Eden: Okay, Dad. I’ll try my best.
(Eden finishes his breakfast quickly.)
Carl: All right, let’s go. I’ll take you to Tangxun Lake School on my electric bike.
Eden: (grabbing his schoolbag) Okay, Dad. I’m ready. Do you think we’ll get there in time?
Carl: We will if we leave right now. Come on.
(They go outside, Carl starts the electric bike, and they ride off towards the school.)
